Now that we have your attention, we are asking for your help. In an effort to spread awareness - after all, that IS why we are walking - and raise some additional funds, we would like your help in spreading the word. For your participation, we will enter you in a drawing to win a pair Gopher Hockey Tickets for the upcoming season. We will also be drawing for a giveaway from A Royal Affair Studio. One lucky winner will have their choice of many lovely bracelets generously donated by A Royal Affair Studio.

Age: a major factor

A woman's chance of getting breast cancer increases with age. According to the American Cancer Society your chance by your current age is:

20 years old - 1 in 1,837

30 years old - 1 in 234

40 years old - 1 in 70

50 years old - 1 in 40

60 years old - 1 in 28

70 years old - 1 in 26

Lifetime - 1 in 8

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women, but it can be successfully treated.

The key - early detection.

The American Cancer Society recommends:

Mammography - every year starting at age 40

Clinical Breast Exam - every 3 years between ages 20-39

Self Breast Exam - monthly beginning in your 20's

Registration will fill up quickly!

Cost: $25 - this includes shoes if needed.
$15 for 16 years and younger
(you will receive an email after your registration is received directing you to PayPal for payment - payment will be sent to A Royal Affair Studio - our Etsy account - please note: you DO NOT need to have a PayPal account in order to pay)

Check in wil begin at 12:30, bowling will begin at 1:00

We will bowl 3 games in a 9 Pin No Tap tournament style. Fabulous prizes to be won! So bring the whole family and help support team Giddy Up in the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. Stars & Strikes has a wonderful menu, full bar, and awesome arcade for the kiddies!

They even have Laser Tag!!

Bling for Boobs - a success!

The Bling for Boobs jewelry fundraiser was a great success! Michelle Wilson with Cookie Lee Jewelry donated 40% of the sales from the jewelry party to Team Giddy Up for the Breast Cancer 3 - Day! A special thank you to Michelle and also all of the wonderful ladies who came out to shop for a great cause! We raised $580 from the jewelry party!

Afterward, our team went out with a couple of girlfriends to raise some more money for the Breast Cancer 3 - Day. We made special t-shirts and sold party beads at some of the local bars. Not only did we have a blast, we also raised $320!

It was truly amazing to see the generosity of strangers.

The grand total for the night $900. I'd call that a successful night!
