Eat your peas!
My dear friend Alyssa asked me to post this to our blog. She wanted me to share with you some very important information about eating your fruits and vegtables and how doing so has proven to be huge prevention of cancer.
The antioxidants in fruits and vegtables are measured with an ORAC score (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). By getting 7-9 servings of fruits and veggies, you are taking in an ORAC score of 4500. Cancer cannot live in your body with 6000 ORAC units - this is a scientific fact; which means every one of us should up that dose of fruits and veggies....
You can find some additional information at Vitamin D3 World.
What's that saying....knowledge is power?!
Kelli
PS. If you're not sure how to get those extra fruits and veggies....Alyssa is a MonaVie distributor and would love to share more with you. Please contact me for her information at kelli3day@gmail.com.

Oh those Classy Misfits!
We want to say a special thank you today to the wonderful ladies from our Thursday night bowling league.
We bowl on a Thursday night league at Ham Lake Lanes. Our league is called Classy Misfits. The wonderful ladies we bowl with have generously been donating to our fundraising campaign each week. The premise is to donate $1 (or more) if you DO NOT bowl your average. We also began offering pink awareness ribbons last night for a donation of $1. Last night alone we raised $25, bringing our three week total to $110!
So again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

A remarkable journey
Hello Friends!
We have taken on an incredible challenge. On August 21st, we'll be walking 60 miles over the course of three days, camping out at night with thousands of other women and men taking this journey with us.
It’s for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and we plan on raising $2,300to help bring us closer to that goal.
Please consider making a donation. Even spare change will help. Also ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift.
We are doing this for the women we've known over the years who have had to battle this horrible cancer. Some have won and some have lost. We are doing this for anyone who know's someone who has gone through this battle. We are doing this for all women who have survived or lost their battle. W are doing this for our future, our childrens future, and the future of all women so that one day a 3-day walk is no longer needed. We are doing this for Kelli's Grandma Pat - a 20+ year survivor, Liz, Betsy, Jody, Jennifer, Denise, Marlene and Margaret. Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. That’s why we're walking in the 3-Day. Because everyone deserves a lifetime.
To make a donation, go to http://www.the3day.org/. Click on Donate Now and search for our team fundraising page. If you would prefer to write a personal check, please make it payable to "Breast Cancer 3-Day" and mail/give to one of us. We would like to reach our fundraising goal by August 1st, so please don’t delay!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Team Giddy Up
